Two-year-old Jack Ormisher burst into tears when staff took his lunch away because it did not meet their healthy eating standards, reported The Sun. Jack's mother, Mrs Dorothy Gallear, 32, has now taken him out of the Westfield Children's Centre in Manchester. She said her son wasn't allowed to have his sandwich because it was not on the nursery's list of healthy menu options such as fruit, vegetables, pasta or potatoes. Bizarrely, she was told by the nursery that the sandwich would have passed if it contained some lettuce or tomato - because then it would be classified as only a 'snack'. Mrs Gallear added that she had packed the sandwich for Jack as the food provided by the nursery gave him an upset stomach.
Hell hath no fury like a 'fat' woman scorned A 24-YEAR-OLD US man lost a part of his right ear just because he called a woman 'fat'. Police officers arrived at a hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska, at 3.25am on Wednesday and found that the injured man had been arguing with other people at a birthday party. He had reportedly told a woman, 21-year-old Anna Godfrey, that she was fat. Godfrey then tackled the man and bit off part of his ear. Police say the ear chunk was not found. Godfrey was arrested on suspicion of felony assault and remains in custody. AP
