Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president-elect Anwar Ibrahim has issued a strong warning to party members involved in abuse of power and money politics in the ongoing PKR elections to stop their nonsense.

"We don't want all these anymore. We are a changed nation and we need to stop all negative actions," Mr Anwar said during a Hari Malaysia programme with Sabah PKR members yesterday.

He said that in the Kedah PKR party polls, chairs were thrown by disgruntled members after the PKR election committee announced that all polling results from the state would be invalidated.

Mr Anwar said those involved in such negative behaviour should be thrown out of PKR.

He advised members to have a clean heart and clear intentions.

"A party must have discipline, we fight and contest as a family and we must take care of our party properly for the betterment of the country," he added.

The PKR election results for Kedah was invalidated following technical difficulties with the e-voting systems.

The PKR election committee also postponed the polls in Perak and Perlis, supposed to take place yesterday, and suspended party elections in Negeri Sembilan and Malacca, due to be held on Sept 29. - THE STAR
