Run To Denmark can go one better

Saturday's SA (Turffontein & Kenilworth) preview

RACE 1 (1400m)

(3) NUNTIUS ORATORION was rested and gelded after a disappointing run. He has ability and could strike if puts it in.

(5) FRIEND OF TIME was friendless in the betting on debut but wasn't disgraced. The extra trip should suit.

(8) THE BOSBOK comes from franked form.

(12) RESCUE found no support on debut and will come on.

RACE 2 (1,400M)

(2) CRIMSON ROYALE and (4) VIVIR renew rivalry. The latter finished ahead on debut and wasn't disgraced in a KZN feature thereafter. However, Crimson Royale has proven stamina over the distance.

(3) SOUL OF WIT (maturing nicely) and (1) BRAVE ZNDAYA (won this track and trip last start) have chances, too.

RACE 3 (1,200M)

(3) CLOUDED HILL impressed when winning last time out and appears the stable-elect of the Snaith trio on riding arrangements.

(2) CLIPPER CAPTAIN confirmed the promise of his debut win next time out and will also be in the mix.

(1) SEVENTH SEA was second in the Nursery in his last start and should be competitive.

RACE 4 (1,400M)

(6) VICTOR FORTH and (2) ARROWS OF DESIRE are only having their third start and will relish the longer distance.

(1) AFFRANCHI and (3) LOUIS THE SEVENTH finished close together in their penultimate runs and either could have a say in the finish.

RACE 5 (1,200M)

(1) OVER YOU and (3) BEAUTIFUL BEAT have earning potential on what they have shown but are vulnerable to less-exposed sorts such as (2) BE YOURSELF and (9) JUNIPER SPRING.

(6) CHINESE VASE and (10) NASTERGAL are likely to improve with experience.

RACE 6 (1,400M)

(7) FRANKLY should handle the extra trip but hasn't had the best of draws.

(4) RHYME OR REASON has had her chances but rates a lively threat on this track.

(1) ELANGENI was reported something amiss last start but warrants respect on earlier form.

(11) NANDI'S VISION and (2) MILL CREEK should improve.

RACE 7 (1,200M)

(14) RUN TO DENMARK caught the eye on debut when chasing home an overdue and more-experienced maiden winner. He can go one better.

(11) NAO FAZ MAL got into the race late when making his debut and will improve.

(5) SANDY SPORT and (4) CARLAS MAMBO have shown useful ability.

RACE 8 (1,400M)

(1) NEW PREDATOR, (3) BRAZUCA, (4) DOOSRA and (8) IRISH PRIDE are stablemates who are all coming off their breaks, so the money market needs to be watched closely.

(5) KINGS ARCHER is running well and shouldn't be far off.

RACE 9 (1,000M)

(3) ANGEL'S TRUMPET bounced back to winning form last start and should find this an easier task against her own sex.

(1) NORDIC BREEZE, her stable companion, has rediscovered her form and is weighted to confirm superiority over (2) MADE IN HOLLYWOOD. The latter, however, has more scope and could improve in first-time headgear.

(4) OSTINATO and unexposed (7) VICE VERSA have earning potential.

RACE 10 (2,000M)

(7) PSYCHIC never got into it last time out but is better than that and could resume winning ways.

(4) QUERARI VIKING won't be troubled by the little extra trip and could get into the fight for honours.

(11) YER-MAAN, a 10-year-old, is holding form and could get into the frame.

(9) BOSPHORUS has an obvious chance if he reproduces his last effort.

RACE 11 (1,600M)

(1) HAMMIE'S FAN has found only one better in both starts over this distance. She has held her form over further since, but races fresh over a slightly shorter trip which may be the recipe for an overdue success.

(4) PACIFISTA and (5) EPIC STORM are bred to enjoy this step-up in trip and are likely to pose the biggest threats to the selection.

RACE 12 (1,600M)

(1) BOLD VIKING could find good acceleration now back over a mile and grab them late.

(2) NORDIC REBEL has won both starts over a straight mile and could record a hat-trick if equally effective around the turn.

(4) POST GRAD is best over this distance and could get into the mix.

RACE 13 (1,600M)

(8) HUDOO MAGIC has the best recent form on offer and should have the measure of rivals, if seeing out the extra trip. Natural improvement expected.

(5) ROCHESTER, who improved last time out when wearing blinkers and returning (1) CROME YELLOW (career-best effort before a rest) should keep the selection honest.

(4) JACK SWIFT and (6) CALLS TO HEAVEN could get a look in, too.

RACE 14 (1,600M)

(2) TIGERLACE recorded both wins over 1,800m and despite a drop in trip could finish off strongly.

(4) LADY NEGRA has ability but has often disappointed. If reproduces her last run, she should contest the finish.

(5) NOCEUR is versatile and cannot be discarded.

(3) JAMRA is holding form.

(6) EXCALIBUR'S RETURN could benefit with the blinkers.

RACE 15 (2,400M)

(5) ROOM AT THE TOP has most scope for improvement and could turn the tables on his rivals.

(2) TROOP THE COLOUR and maiden (7) THE SILVA FOX are closely matched with that rival, so can make their presence felt, too.

(1) JUDDERING ANGEL has every chance with a 4kg claimer aboard.
